Whiteness of the Whale
(a chapter in Moby Dick)~
whiteness is nothing's void which may appear
lovely or terrifying~or simply as the white
known by convention~~but the whiteness itself
is not describable except as appearances of a
whale which had severed Ahab's leg and sparked
his revenge~or as Ahab's and our own deaths
of the attachments we own~~such are storied
appearances of Whiteness~~
Whiteness
inexplicably
appears as
each of the
characters
the whale
Melville
and the book
itself~~
