Chagall's White Core

Adam and Eve..1914

Chagall's White Core

Noting the central white
as creations center..
Adam's White separating
creating us
our name is Eve..
This Tree of Separation
its pain and joy
needs return to
Adam's
Tree of Transparency
the White Core
from which we
never departed...

White Crucifixion..1938

I am a child who is getting on. (Marc Chagall)

Art seems to me to be a state of soul more than anything else. (Marc Chagall)

Color is all. When color is right, form is right. Color is everything, color is vibration like music; everything is vibration. (Marc Chagall)

I have always painted pictures where human love floods my colors. (Marc Chagall)
