Schoolyard bench
Disordered small benches
not arranged in the schoolyard shade
under a pine tree with large and solid
base secure to the earth..
The shade broke the rays and with
a slight breeze some comfort arrived..
Cars in the distance in orderly following
as the children single file emerged and followed..
This micro portrait on a waning summer day
this brief stop for my rest on the bench..
