A collection
of words appear as
a story~
interpretations arise
telling more stories~
The original story
glows unseen in the
rear view mirror but
let's stay on the road
and watch for glowing
words ahead~
The search proceeds~~

The original story

The search proceeds~~
You are silence~
That's
a story line
involving a
character
referenced as "you"
and a suggestion
you and silence
are not two~~
Words
express and suggest~
Suggest wholeness
and separation
simultaneously~
Rendering words
inexplicable~
Nevertheless~~
The Bible
has explosive words
as does Shakespeare
and Walt Whitman~
The words invite use
for new explosive stories~~
"I have stolen more quotes and thoughts and purely elegant little starbursts of writing from the Book of Revelation than from anything else in the English Language—and it is not because I am a biblical scholar, or because of any religious faith, but because I love the wild power of the language and the purity of the madness that governs it and makes it music."
~ Hunter S. Thompson
Lacks one
lacks both~is
Walt Whitman's
statement of
not two~
Not two
points to the
paradoxical story:
nothing appearing
as two~~
"Lacks one lacks both"
~~Walt Whitman
"Me"
the character
in the story is
empty as is
everything
including the
choices which
bend the story~~
We're
not where
we think we are
and not there
either~~
A
surprise may land
or may not
that all words are
indefinable~
Who woulda thot~~
Nothing
is something~
That's the whole enchilada~~
Wholeness
appears as
separation~
words may appear
as dogma
as paradoxical
as a strange story~
No word fixes
Apparently~~
Wholeness
no definition~
Separation
no definition~
Seeming as
No-definition
appearances
of separation
of wholeness~~
Wholeness
indefinable
presents as
Separation
definable~so
Wholeness is
definable and
not~as is
Separation~~
Self Inquiry
a process
critiqued as denial
of what is sought
and praised as a
path to discard
those hinderances
to a new you~
Both are stories
inviting a resonance
in "recognizing"
these are stories
appearing empty
and already whole~~
Life as ongoing inquiry
An excerpt from the book Seeing No-Self
Kat (Katrijn) Van Oudheusden
Feb 24
Continue to remind yourself of what you are, even though there is no one to make that happen.
Society continually interacts with you as a separate self, so reminders are needed, often for many years, as the identification with selfing slowly unwinds.
Eventually, reminders are no longer necessary, because no-self is the default.
The seeming act of inquiring disappears, and life becomes ongoing inquiry in the sense of a simple, constant knowing of nondual Awareness even as experience remains dual. I know that I am and that there is no self, even when experience continues as a body-mind.
Whenever we are pulled back into identification with the separate self, sooner or later there is a spontaneous reawakening.
We don’t have to worry, because what has been seen cannot be unseen.
More and more, we will simply know.
More and more, we know ourselves as the sky that we always already were.
This process does itself.
There is nothing for you to make happen.
This is the last excerpt for now. Seeing No-Self will launch next week, on March 3rd.
