Excerpt from a meeting with Meher Baba:

Consciousness playing “Hide and Seek”

“I definitely know from my living experience that God [consciousness] is the one and only reality, and that all else is illusion. All that you see and hear at this moment—in this hall, our being in each other's presence, these explanations which I give and you hear, and even my incarnation - all this is a dream. Every night you go to sleep and have different kinds of dreams, yet every morning you wake up to experience anew the same old dream that you have been dreaming since your birth into your present life in illusion. You will say, “Baba, we are wide awake; we actually see you sitting before us; we can and do follow what you are explaining to us.” But you will admit that you would say the same thing to me if, in a dream, you found that you were near me and heard me telling you that all you felt, saw and heard was a dream. As long as you do not wake up from a dream, you are dream-bound to feel it to be stark reality. A dream becomes a dream  only when you wake up; only then do you tell others that the life you lived in the dream was just a dream. Good or bad, happy or unhappy, in reality the dream is then recognized as having been absolutely nothing. Therefore I repeat that, although you are now sitting before me and hearing me, you are not really awake. You are actually sleeping and dreaming. I say this because I am simultaneously awake in the real sense and yet dreaming—with one and all—the dreams which all dream. “All your pleasures and difficulties, your feelings of happiness and misery, your presence here and your listening to these explanations, are all nothing but a vacant dream on your part and mine. There is this one difference: I also consciously know the dream to be a dream, while you feel that you are awake….”

WHY THE FREE REMAIN

Since the fall of Conscious Awareness into the belief in separation and the dream universe(s) that manifested from that illusion, there have always been beacons of Light [the SELF in dream bodies] radiating Truth ‘into’ the dream … usually in obscurity. Some few have come forward visibly to ‘point’ to the illusion of ‘who you are NOT’ and from this, countless belief systems unfolded, diluted by their follower’s remaining conditioning … nevertheless, shining a little Truth into the darkness of the Grand Dream.

In this moment there are many who are approaching the threshold of Freedom and all of humanity benefits from the ‘knowing’ that emanates naturally from their emptiness. Those few who are completely ‘without’ conditioning and who remain in a physical dream body, ‘influence’ the Awareness of the slumbering God-SELF of humanity more than the entire affect of 7.5 billion well meaning sleeping beings.

Such is the limitless Love the SELF extends ‘to’ IT SELF.

There are these

We know..and they present

Opportunities for separation

To assert once more..to

Claim our self..

Yet..on second glance..

These might Lighten our

Attention toward That 

In which they swim..

Springing gratitude

For a discovery again

Of infinite worth...

Stillness shaping..

The energy of life

Shaping the Stillness

Which we are..

The appeal of shaping

Standing out from Stillness

Is  apparent life..

Not recognizing our departure

From Stillness demands our

Shape to start searching

Zigzaging..until a new

Discovery of our point of

Departure..or not..

All the above..All of it..

Is Stillness shaping...

Immunization..

 

Immunization..

Perhaps

It is knowing and acceptance 

Of a small dose of what seemed

External..as a trigger to realize

All that seems external is

Temporary cloaking with

A Cloak made of raw Self...
