Each is the Presence

luminous and unlimited

so let the world

the shopping mall

the sounds of Christmas

and the road home

under a three-quarter moon

flow through that Presence..

Which is quiet in the Now

and has witnessed the flow

Nay..better yet

has made the flow

from itself...

thoughts while 
mall walking at
Citadel Mall...

Conquer the mind..?

Conquer the mind..?

If translations hold

we are advised to

conquer the mind..

But we ask:

is the mind there

to be conquered

or simply recognized

as not existing

except in thought..

Those fleeting thoughts

appear within a

never fleeting Awareness

made of Joy...

Non-Locality

Non-locality

This is a condition

of our true Self

along with others

infinite and luminous

and simply Awareness...

Non-locality cannot

be known by the mind

so how do we approach

and experience this

 placeless place..

The words immediate

or simultaneous

or quantum leap

may be hints

to help us recognize

a simple pull...

ACCEPTANCE IS NOT SOMETHING YOU DO, IT'S WHAT YOU ARE

"Awareness is radically inseparable from everything that arises in awareness. And so, it’s not awareness OF thoughts – awareness IS thoughts. It’s not awareness OF pain, pain is saturated with awareness, it is made of awareness, it is awareness. 

Every wave is 'made of' the ocean, so to speak, and so in the end you can’t even speak about the 'waves and the ocean' at all. You can’t even speak about awareness and 'everything that appears in awareness'. But perhaps it’s a useful, temporary metaphor, to point to the deeper understanding ... that the recognition of wisdom, of clarity, is totally incomplete without the recognition of love, of compassion. Really they’re inseparable, love and wisdom, heart and mind, nonduality and duality, the human and the divine, the absolute and the relative. However you say it – it all points to the inescapable fact that every thought, every sensation, every feeling, however uncomfortable, however intense, however unexpected, is welcome in you!

You are the capacity for it all. You are the room for the unloved ones. You are the home for the homeless, the uncontained container...

It is this radical embrace which we have always sought, beyond all ideas of awakening and enlightenment and trying to be free. 

It is what I call The Deepest Acceptance - not the acceptance that you do, but the acceptance that you already are..."

Awareness is likened 
to a seamless piece of cloth..
Parts and variations
do not exist in the pureness
only Awareness aware of itself..
But then we see in examining
the cloth that fine variations
are there to behold..
Awareness has apparently
produced variations 
out of itself...

We search the branches

black friday branches

to fulfill desires

relieve dissatisfaction

in the place we stand..

This searching

experiences pain:

a message 

 unexpected

from the tree

from grace...

He Is Just So Weird she said

young women after greetings exchanged

this comment not intended for my hearing..

A voiced contribution to world conversations

taking place in that moment..

A voice it seems from a separate self

reaching for common experience

on a level where difference reigns..

Then another encounter

he said Who Cares? his response to

an inaccurate greeting of Good Morning

as our watches recorded PM..

Thus chronos time took a rap

in a culture where chronos reigns..

We might wonder at the messages of

many other conversations occurring Now

on Thanksgiving paths...
