the Newscast

the Newscast

Ordered for us
their portrayal of
selected happenings..
the Real news
on horizon becoming
are silent discoveries
hidden from view
by a few reporters
looking out there
but inward at
the same Time..
their startling
bits of news
 waking result of
 polarities at play..
Newscasts with
only outward attention
may someday find
viewers retreating..
half truths
hardly digestible...

Mindfulness

Mindfulness

That blade of grass
imagine
as microcosm of
the universe whole..
that last step
a motion containing
world's busy motions..
when rising at dawn
a pillow placement
enclosing all of
the coming day..
holograms
of mindfulness
joy stimulation...

Walk-ins

Walk-ins

Trying
to de-mystify
these most
hidden events..
a soul
exchange seems
an awkward
duality..
looking anew
at our identity
as soul/body
polarity..
a new insight
a brief merging
in our work
our reading
our meditation..
resonance with
Jesus or
Einstein
or passerby..
our identity
is altered..
a Walk-in...!

Utopia

Utopia

is our
Waking Up
to  realize
in substantial
numbers
that our
Constitution is
relational..
collective/
individual
is the polarity
we need know..
not balance
we seek but
continuing
re-balance..
a flow
pole toward
pole..
one surface
two sides...

The proposed Constitution, therefore, [even when tested by the rules laid down by its antagonists,][1] is, in strictness, neither a national nor a federal Constitution, but a composition of both. In its foundation it is federal, not national; in the sources from which the ordinary powers of the government are drawn, it is partly federal and partly national; in the operation of these powers, it is national, not federal; in the extent of them, again, it is federal, not national; and, finally, in the authoritative mode of introducing amendments, it is neither wholly federal nor wholly national. (James Madison, Federalist Papers # 39)

Into Harm's Way

Into Harm's Way

The long ago
memories persist
stories of war
back then
reenter today..
for a few
their immersion
brought glimpses
of more..
but stories persist..

Those life endings
ordered and angered..
new remembering
brings fresh pain..
a rejection decided
brought a lifetime
burden of guilt..
a lost limb then
anchored renewal
for others today..

We need ask
on this
day of memories
that all suffering
long and brief
heavy and light
be Sighted anew
accepted at last
sharp edges of
 welcome Light...
