apparently.. we must bring nature inside
although it has always been inside while
being imagined as outside..
partial joy comes from observing through
a dualistic lens..of consciousness inside and
world outside..
however we are invited to take off this lens
to experience  the joy of consciousness 
and its inner vibrating..manifesting the world 
within and as..itself...

it is the Tantric return

after the knowing

and knowing the nature

of the eternal Light..

on this return

the apparent world

stands shining

as do you and I

as we recognize

the living truths

both higher 

and lower..

Shades of Addiction

the extreme forms

we know as abuse:

alcohol..drugs..sex..food..

there are also thoughts

reflecting deep-seated bias..

perhaps a political persuasion

which has lingered for

years of a lifetime..

can we speak of 

an addiction to happiness

or are all of the shades

really a search for happiness..

the ego searches and insists

that the search among objects

will locate the illusive

happiness..

the search might occur

in more subtle terrain:

religion and forms of

spiritual practice..

yet these must also

bear their shades

of addiction..

ego

ego

is creation itself

a rising in and of

consciousness..

a simultaneous birth of

a 2-sided coin:

subject/object

as thought and perception..

the birth is convincing

in its colors and boundaries

appearing as both

savory and unsavory..

along with its birth

comes ego's desire for

the happiness

which once it knew..

questions are a threat

and its defenses

 often most militant..

fears and desires
 conceal real happiness
retaining that most
convincing coin...

we may be migrating

to lenses more subjective..

farewell to the objects

 we have known

as independent and foreign..

we greet the new objects

thoughts and perceptions

as very close and coloring

our elevated essence..

we experience in our day

a more peaceful and joyous

 identity...
