How long?

How long?

This is a question of
Self-Inquiry
Time as thought
a mind presses
the question
 impatience laden
enduring waiting
and longing..
With a final sigh
of exhaustion
 the mind fades
at last
into the Grace
now absorbing
the illusive time...

Psalm 13  (NRSV)

Prayer for Deliverance from Enemies
To the leader. A Psalm of David.

1 How long, O Lord? Will you forget me forever?
How long will you hide your face from me?
2 How long must I bear pain in my soul,
and have sorrow in my heart all day long?
How long shall my enemy be exalted over me?
3 Consider and answer me, O Lord my God!
Give light to my eyes, or I will sleep the sleep of death,
4 and my enemy will say, “I have prevailed”;
my foes will rejoice because I am shaken.
5 But I trusted in your steadfast love;
my heart shall rejoice in your salvation.
6 I will sing to the Lord,
because he has dealt bountifully with me.

"Sooner or later the question of 'Who am I' will have to be faced. All [practice] that leads to this question is good. For, by itself, nothing else is fully effective since Self-knowledge comes only through Self-Inquiry. Other methods purify the mind and help it to see its own limits. When the mind comes to the end of its resources, and stands baffled before the unanswerable question, then a Higher Power takes charge of the mind and the Self stands revealed as the real, the wonderful."

Robotic transparency

Robotic transparency

Transparency is the benefactor
of the robotic replacement
of those work lines which
are most heavy and opaque..
This freedom birthing
of the human mind
freeing to find the
natural transparency
which has always been
although not recognized
its transcendent state...

Many economists and technologists believe the world is on the brink of a new industrial revolution, in which advances in the field of artificial intelligence will obsolete human labor at an unforgiving pace. Two Oxford researchers recently analyzed the skills required for more than 700 different occupations to determine how many of them would be susceptible to automation in the near future, and the news was not good: They concluded that machines are likely to take over 47 percent of today’s jobs within a few decades. Self luminous

Self luminous

An experience
of self-luminosity
is identical with
I am..
Might we be
simply Aware
and find our
Yes
in response to
the availability
always of
this limitless
and luminous
experience..?

Best Kept Secret

Best Kept Secret

Retaining dual visions
culture's philosophy
overlooks simplicity
and the power of each of us
to know that we know..
Know that we know
before the cultural blanket
tells us that knowing
requires what is known..
So we ask ourselves
if we know only ourselves
Here and Now..?
Is the I Am of scripture
our most rooted
living experience..?
Is this the secret
best kept by the
centuries..?

Ascend a mountain

Va’etchanan in a Nutshell
Deuteronomy 3:23–7:11

Moses tells the people of Israel how he implored G‑d to allow him to enter the Land of Israel, but G‑d refused, instructing him instead to ascend a mountain and see the Promised Land. (Chabad.org)

That is why they have never understood us. We are counter-intuitive to them. "Why," they moan, "are you looking for G-d in those strange places? Don't you know G-d is to be found in the universal, in the heavenly, in those matters so general as to encompass all mankind? What is your obsession with the minutiae of material ritual and physical objects?"

But this is us. They search for G-d up on high. We find G-d in the woolen strings hanging from our clothes, in the light of a wax candle and a cup of wine, in the sound of children's voices reading His Torah, in the crunch and swallow of a matzah on Passover night. (Tzvi Freeman)

THAT

The written word
wears limitation
it seems to delineate
this from THAT..
Thus separation rises
and claims a center
casting a shadow
over THAT..
Our remedy
seems as this:
each word in
its limiting claim
lives in polarity
a mid frequency
mid high and low..
Its edges are softened
possibilities reign
relationships spring..
And reaching high
we experience
word annihilation
leaving only THAT...
